the edge

howdy roguesters. typically, i try to avoid posting a zillion photos of myself in the same outfit 'cause it pushes the line of vanity, (even for a fashion blogger), but my recent absence from the interweb called for a meaty post. besides, the manhattan skyline is the real star of this show.
i recently moved to a new apartment and don't have internet yet. when i tell people this they usually give me a distressed look, which i appreciate greatly because the lack of online access has been driving me batty. big thank you to my kung fu school for letting me hang out and jack their internet for awhile. it truly is my home away from home.
but enough about the mundane details of my life and onto more important things. like style themes and how i thoroughly enjoy repeating them in a single outfit. here, both skirt and jacket are short in the front and long in the back. in my typical laissez-faire attitude, i paired the look with converse and a simple, chunky knit. topped off with a bright teal handbag for that pop of color and some added fun. i hate boring.

jacket, mackage . skirt, zara . john varvatos for converse . teal mak multi messenger, sienna ray bags . sunglasses, versace c/o sunglass hut . chunky knit, american apparel . necklace, from istanbul
