the lighting of a great sunset is my favorite for photography. the
inevitable haze that glosses over the picture during that moment right
before twilight makes things look almost otherworldly. it's impossible
for matt and myself to come across such lighting and not take photos.
i'm glad i was wearing an outfit i especially liked in order to take
full advantage of the situation.
this dress was made for me by and what else is there,
an etsy shop run by two talented designers, ami and vivienne. i'm wearing it
here both belted and not belted. i love it both ways and am happy it
has the versatility to be belted because that opens up a ton of
styling possibilities. a huge thank you to ami and
vivienne for the dress. i love it and am so excited to have something
custom tailored to my measurements.
if you've read my blog or follow me on facebook and/or twitter, you know that i'm all about lesser known designers. i love my prada, my dior, my chanel... but these are all houses started ages ago whose founders have long since died. new talent breathes life into fashion. and i almost love it more when i'm wearing something gorgeous by a designer most people have never heard of and i get asked what i'm wearing. introducing people to brand new designers, especially as a blogger, is the absolute best. so be sure to check out ami and vivienne's shop, as well as their blog here.

ReplyDeleteToo many things to like here: one the lighting is brilliant or rather perfectly soft and diffused. two: the dress is gorge and you in it. how wonderful to have a bespoked piece made just for you! three: lovin' the shade of blue AND four: blue with yellow is incredible is sort of an unsung hero of mine. All of this adds up to LOVELY!
