modern ruins

 

this was an editorial style photo shoot that i did in greece late last summer. i chose to do the shoot in an abandoned town where the houses were being demolished. the eeriness that hung thick in the air added a sense of melancholy to the photo shoot that i really liked. the styling was a twist on the greek goddess look. i designed the dress i'm wearing, which is made from silk crepe fabric and hangs like a dream. it also reflects the light in an almost ghostly way. the edgy accessories -- studded belts and platformed gladiator sandals -- contrasted the effect nicely. this is probably one of my favorite shoots to date and i can't wait until my next conceptual shoot, which is coming up soon.
